Rick is married and has lived in the Janesville area most of his life. He graduated from Janesville high schools, proudly served his country in the military and worked at GM in Janesville after his discharge from the military. He is a Christian and involved with his church and local ministries and has also been a part of coaching local youth sports.

Rick has been preparing tax returns for over 40 years. He was employed by Joyce Tax Service until taking over ownership of the business in 1990 under the American Tax Service name. Rick is a Registered Tax Preparer with the IRS, has participated in the IRS's Annual Filing Season Program since the programs inception and has had both formal and self-taught education in income tax laws and accounting practices over the years.

As an owner of American Tax Service, Rick prides himself on providing his customers with the best income tax preparation.

Bob is married, has three grown children and eight grandchildren. He has lived in Janesville for most all his life. He has a degree from the University of Wisconsin, with 17 years in law enforcement and 12 years in business management.

Bob has been preparing federal and state income tax returns for over 36 years, with 31 years at American Tax Service. Bob is registered with the IRS as a Registered Tax Return Preparer and has been in the IRS’s Annual Filing Season Program since the program’s inception.

Bob has a degree from the National Tax Training School as well as numerous tax training facilities. As part owner of American Tax Service, Bob works hard to provide his clients with the best income tax preparation service at a fair and reasonable price.

Deb was born in Richland Center, WI. She moved to Janesville with her family because her father started working for Fisher Body (General Motors). She attended the Janesville schools and graduated from Parker High School. She raised her family here in Janesville, and participated in Girl Scouting and volunteering in our community.

Deb has experienced different fields of employment through out her life. Backer, retail sales, bookkeeping and payroll, car sales and repair, special education, ADL aide, working with adults with special needs, and job coaching.

I am now the full-time Office Manager and part owner. 

During the busy tax season, I love to meet and greet all our tax customers, after all these years you get to know them quite well. I love working at American Tax Service, we are Family.

I started with American Tax Service in 1999 as a receptionist. With prior experience in customer service, I became interested in assisting customers with their tax preparation. I was obtaining a lot of tax preparation knowledge through my receptionist position and in 2002, enrolled in income tax courses, and was promoted to a tax preparer. I have since kept current with tax laws and IRS procedures. I am currently head of the E-filing department for American Tax Service.

In 2010 I enrolled at Blackhawk Technical College (BTC) for my associate’s degree in Human Resource Management. I will graduate in May of 2013 with that degree. I have currently completed the Green Generalist (Green 101) workshop presented by Prerdue University's Technical Assistance Program. I am also currently the recording secretary for BTC's Chapter of Beta Rho Psi Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), and I am also the treasurer of BTC's Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Since going back to school, my goal has been to challenge myself with leadership positions and have greatly benefited from my experiences. I am looking forward to serving our customers with all their tax needs.
